Is this a yearly salary? 50k/year seems really low for London. I suspect these CEOs have other sources of income (family help, money from previous exits etc) and that should be taken into consideration.

These are yearly salaries. There are a lot of great reasons to start a business in London. Salary isn’t one of them. Counterparts in the US are up to double.
