There’s a lot I can say about remote communication but I’ll keep it brief.

Video is great for presentations, but energy levels will be lower than in-person so use an upbeat tone and ask questions to maintain engagement.

Audio is underrated and often better than video for most conversations. I now do most of my coaching using audio.

Messaging is good for status, and almost nothing else. Tone is really hard to get right with message length, emojis, and even punctuation affecting meaning. For anything that requires nuance, pick up the phone or use video.

And for all the above technique, multiple them by two to compensate for the lack of full body language.
