Did you look at any of the links? I added the Wikipedia link, which doesn’t define narcissism based on low empathy, but an “admiration of ones idealised self-image”, another on narcissist personality, which is defined partly by low empathy, and multiple links where Maccoby explains in detail his point of view, quoting parts of Obama’s book, ‘The Promised Land’.

Moreover, I carefully wrote “high on the narcissistic spectrum”. There is nuance in the argument I’m putting forward, and sadly, I don’t believe you’re either a narcissist or you aren’t.

(As an aside, I think it’s fair to say anyone who writes a book called ‘the promised land’, and puts themselves up for the US presidency must have some degree of ego/self-love. And I repeat, I don’t think this makes someone a bad person.)
